Loise is the Managing Partner at Protos Capital, a leading sustainability integration, impact modelling and sustainability reporting consultancy firm in Africa. She is a certified sustainability professional with a legal and finance background and 17 years of experience. She is an expert in capital markets, climate adaptation finance, ESG integration and reporting and Value Chain GHG emissions assessment.
Loise is passionate about building sustainable businesses that maximize returns while having a positive impact on the environment and society. In this regard, she works with businesses, policy makers and investors to integrate ESG into investment decision making, strategy, risk management, communication and exit processes.
Loise has championed various initiatives to drive sustainable investments and encourage sustainable business practices within Africa. Key of them is the development of the ESG Disclosure Guidelines for listed companies in Kenya, and Listing Rules for Green Bonds. In addition, Loise also developed the ESG Reporting Guidelines for Rwanda Stock Exchange, Eco-Labelling Guidelines for Kenyan Manufacturers and she recently led the harmonization of the listing, trading and ESG requirements for the 14 SADC Capital markets.
Loise holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Public Finance and Financial Services Law from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) from the same university.
She is also an active contributor to the sustainable growth agenda through think tanks, training, publications and thought leadership. She is a technical expert with the ESG Exchange in South Africa.
